A santa candy container in excellent unused condition. Comes apart in the center. The head, arms and legs are made of composition material. He has a blue felt jacket, a  feather tree, and a rabbit fur beard. Measures almost 7" high. The base is made of wood and is marked "Made in Germany" Comes with a photocopy of the paper shown that was found with the Santa. It reads: "For Christmas presents and other occasions, I deliver in addition to my special offer of "Lieselotte" and "Golden Baby" dolls and other toys at all different price levels. Please contact me if need be, you will receive excellent service and affordable prices. Heil Hitler! Berthold Batz (owner)" The paper is marked Heil Hitler so this dates the item from about 1934 to 1940. The Santa was made by Berthold Batz who started his business in 1900 in Sonneberg, Germany. Comes with a new box to hold the Santa.
